Turmeric Latte

 

Sometimes you want a warm drink but coffee, tea or hot chocolate just isn’t going to hit the spot. A Turmeric Latte is the perfect choice - it will warm you up and provide you with the added goodness of turmeric. Did you know that turmeric, also known as curcuma longa, is often referred to as the ‘Queen of Spices’? It’s peppery aroma will definitely spice up your mid-morning cuppa.

Incorporating the goodness of turmeric and all of its beautiful flavour and colour, this GPA Wholefoods recipe will ensure you gets the most out of your cuppa.


Serves: 1

Prep: 5 mins

Cooking: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp ground turmeric

  • 1 tbs boiling water

  • 1 cup milk of your choice

  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp Aclara Health virgin coconut oil

  • 4 drops Thankfully Nourished Monk Fruit Concentrate

  • Pinch freshly ground black pepper

Method

  1. Combine ground turmeric and boiling water in a small saucepan until smooth.

  2. Add milk, ginger and cinnamon.

  3. Heat over a low heat, but do not boil.

  4. Add coconut oil and monk fruit concentrate and whisk until the oil melted and the mixture is frothy.

  5. Sprinkle with black pepper.

Note: For extra froth pour the hot mixture into a blender and blend until frothy.
